About

Theatre For Change embraces the ideal of using our voices, and our work, to engage in true empathy and resistance to injustice in all its forms. We will strive to deliver stories of hope, resilience, and stories that spark human solidarity.

To believe that theatre is without censorship is a dangerous misconception. We hope to cover stories about  independent artists and arts organizations, who challenge the system, or who have dared pry open the doors of mainstream theatre. The critical thinkers in dance, drama, music, art and film.

We would like to  acknowledge that our home base is in Treaty 1 territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.

Theatre For Change supports:

Black Lives Matter – Black Youth Project 100 – Million Hoodies Black Alliance for Just Immigration – SURJ Showing Up or Racial Justice
